The Astrum Photo 400 is a black and white film. Astrum is a company from Ukraine. The company was founded in the mid-90s and specializes, among other things, in the distribution of films for professional aerial photography. Later they took over the remains of the Soviet photo company Svema.

The fact that this photo film was produced in the former halls of Svema in Shostka is quite absurd. More likely it is a film of another manufacturer in the cartridge, which is sold under the Ukrainian brand.

The Astrum Photo 400 is a classic film for black and white photography. The emulsion is panchromatically sensitized. The sensitivity of the film is specified as ISO 400. In the spectral range its sensitivity reaches up to 750nm.

Development of the film

The development of the Astrum Foto 400 must take place in a black-and-white developer. The development can be done by a photo lab or you can develop it yourself with the appropriate photochemistry.

Formats

The Astrum Photo 400 is only available for the 35mm format. Normally 36 photos fit onto one film roll. The film cartridge has no DX coding. The photo emulsion is cast onto a clear carrier of 0.10mm thick polyester.
