The Adox CMS 20 II is a black and white film. Its full name is "Adox CMS 20 II Professional."
The Adox CMS 20 II is described by the manufacturer Adox as the highest resolution, finest grain and sharpest film in the world and is said to be able to reproduce 800 lines / mm. This is made possible by the smallest technologically producible silver grains cast in narrow band grain distribution in only one layer. An anti halo layer between the carrier and the emulsion allows high sharpness.
The CMS 20 II has a sensitivity spectrum between 400 nm and almost 650 nm. It belongs to the orthopanchromatic films and therefore has an low light sensitivity. It reaches ISO 12 for subjects with normal to high subject contrast, and ISO 20 for reduced to normal subject contrast.
The film is developed in a black-and-white developer. The Adotech developer offered specifically for the film is recommended for this purpose.
The Adox CMS 20 II is available as 35mm, medium format and sheet film. In each variant, it is cast on a PET base.
