Taiwan has long been a popular destination for outsourcing manufacturing of products, particularly electronics. This also included analogue cameras. One of the main advantages of the Taiwanese camera industry has been its ability to produce good quality cameras at competitive prices. This made the country an attractive destination for other camera brands looking to outsource production.
The cameras were sold under well-known brands. They were produced in factories of foreign companies or by OEMs (contract manufacturers). There is no such thing as a world-renowned brand of analogue cameras.
