The Revue BC 2 is a SLR camera. It was sold by the German photo broadcaster "Foto Quelle" under the Revue house brand. Like many revue cameras, it was produced by Pentacon in East Germany. The BC 2 corresponds to the Praktica BMS, one of Pentacon's latest models.
The Revue BC 2 offers the possibility of interchangeable lenses. It features a Praktica B mount. The model has no autofocus. It is manually focused.
Photography is made easier by the built-in exposure meter. It can be used for films in an ISO range of 12 to 3200. As with most SLR cameras, exposure is measured trough the lens. The desired exposure time as well as the number of f-stops can be set by the user.
The Revue BC 2 has a bulb setting. The shutter can remain open for a variable time and expose the film. An external flash can be connected via hot shoe.

Without 35mm films, the Revue BC 2 does not work. For this film format, there is still a good selection of material for color and black and white images. A good choice for color and black-and-white pictures is the Fujifilm Superia 400* and the Kodak TRI-X 400*.
The color film is processed in the C-41 process. The C-41 process is standardized and is offered by most development laboratories. The exposure area of the Revue BC 2 is 24 mm x 36 mm big. The film is winded manually in the camera.
