The Porst Uniflex 1000S is a single lens reflex camera. The 35mm camera was built for Porst Porst. The model dates from the late 60s and was offered until the late 70s. The construction is based on a modified version of the Yashica TL-Super.
The lens of the Porst Uniflex 1000S is interchangeable. Therefore a M42 thread was installed in the camera. In most cases you will find the Porst Color Reflex Auto 1.7/50 mm on the 35mm camera. The M42 thread is more standardized and manufacturer-independent. The M42 thread is the successor of the M39 connection. Lenses for the M42 thread were built by KMZ/Zenit, Pentax, Beyer-Optik, Zeiss and Pentacon, among others. There is no autofocus on the 35mm camera. You have to focus manually on the subject.
The 35mm camera has a built-in meter for measuring the right exposure. The SLR determines the exposure when measuring through the lens (TTL). The shutter speed and aperture must then be selected by the photographer himself.
The 35 mm camera comes with a bulb setting option. The shutter remains open as desired. An external flash can be used via the PC flash socket. The Porst Uniflex 1000S has a thread for a tripod. There is also a connection for a cable release and a self-timer.
Measuring 14.5 x 10 x 5 cm, the Porst Uniflex 1000S weighs 700 grams.
Films for the Porst Uniflex 1000S
The Porst Uniflex 1000S exposes 35mm film. 35 mm films are still produced today and can be developed in most laboratories. Agfaphoto Vista 400* is a possible color film for the Porst Uniflex 1000S. Black and white images are possible with the Kodak T-Max 100*.
The Porst Uniflex 1000S is only available used. The value of the Porst Uniflex 1000S depends on the condition of the camera.
