The Polaroid Milwaukee Flag is a special edition instant camera. It was introduced in 2019. The model is based on the Polaroid One Step Flash.

The limited edition was introduced by the company Retrospekt. They distributed the camera at the Summerfest South Market in the city of Milwaukee. Retrospekt is also based in the American city. The company offers among other things refurbished cameras and other old technical equipment. This model was assembled from original parts from the 90s and 80s.

The design of the housing is based on the flag of the city. It is kept in yellow and blue. Next to the lens is the flag, which points to a rising sun in a lake.

Films for the camera

The Polaroid Milwaukee Flag is designed for the 600 format. Suitable films for the instant camera include the Polaroid Color Film for 600* and the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. The unexposed images are stored in a film cassette. The number of possible shots per film cassette is now eight. Previously, there were a whole ten images in a pack.

Batteries

What kind of batteries are needed for the Polaroid instant camera? The power source for the camera is provided by a battery located inside the film cassette. This disposable battery contains enough power to operate the camera and flash. Each time the film cassette is replaced, the battery is also replaced. It is not necessary to have an extra battery for the instant camera. Since the battery is included in the film cassette, it should not be disposed of in the household trash. It is best to take either the plastic cassette or just the battery to a local drop-off location.
