The Polaroid Job Pro / JobPro is an instant camera for the 600 format. It was developed and advertised for construction and building site photography. There is another version of the Job Pro, the Job Pro 2.

In principle, it is a Polaroid One Step Flash Closeup. The Job Pro is wrapped in black and a bright yellow. On the back, there is a short instruction manual on how to use the Job Pro. It also bears the imprint "The Construction Camera."

Otherwise, it is equipped with the usual features, such as a flash and a close-up lens.

Films for the Camera

It requires instant film for the Polaroid 600 format, which is still manufactured today by The Impossible Project and is also sold again under the original brand name. For black and white and color pictures with the Polaroid Job Pro, Impossible currently has the Polaroid B&W Film for 600* and the Polaroid Color Film for 600* in its range.

Tutorial for the Polaroid Job Pro

How to take photos with the instant camera? A clear tutorial on how to use the Polaroid Job Pro. The first step is to insert the film. To do this, first push the slide on the side forward so that the film flap opens. Then insert the film cassette and close the flap again. The light-proof film over the film cassette is now automatically removed by the camera. Now you can take a picture. Hold the camera on the subject and press the shutter release. The motor in the camera ejects the picture. Now the photochemistry starts to develop the picture. After a few minutes, you have the finished picture in your hand.

Alternatives

If one cannot locate the camera, one can opt for alternatives. Two nice options would be the Polaroid OneStep Flash* and Polaroid OneStep Express*. These models are similar in the range of features offered. They also use the same film format. You may also want to reach for other cameras from other manufacturers as an alternative. Two instant cameras are the Instax Mini 11* and LomoInstant Square*. Here, too, you can still easily purchase the film material.
