  • Type Instant camera
  • Type of Film Typ 600
  • Max Aperture -
  • Focus Fixed focus

The Polaroid 600 CLOT is a collection of instant cameras. In September, this special edition was introduced. This is a variant for the streetwear label CLOT from Hong Kong. A total of three variants with different designs were introduced in the "Silk Royale Collection" - University Blue Silk, Rose Gold Silk and Black Silk.

The cameras are original and restored Polaroid cameras. The range of functions offered by the model is congruent with the Polaroid One Step Flash.

The Polaroid 600 CLOT stands out for its ease of use. It has been designed without most of the setting options found on other types of cameras. The ease of use allows it to be used for many occasions. It is a good choice for parties. For weddings, the camera is also a lot of fun. It is also a good companion on vacation.

The most important settings are preset. For example, the aperture and shutter speed cannot be changed by the user. The lens is fixed and cannot be changed. The model does not feature a zoom function. Instead, you simply have to move the camera closer to the subject. The shortest distance for focusing is 120 cm. This distance must be at least maintained to achieve razor-sharp results.

An integrated flash must not be missing in this camera, of course. After pressing the shutter button, the flash fires automatically. Quite especially in low-light situations, the flash is one of the crucial functions.

Films for the Polaroid 600 CLOT

Of course, films are also needed for the Polaroid instant camera. As a result of various events, the American company Polaroid has stopped film production. However, in the meantime, you can again find suitable films on the shelves of stores, both online and offline.

There is a black-and-white and a color film available for purchase. For color photos, the Polaroid Color Film for 600* is the appropriate choice. The right grip for black and white images goes to the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. Both films can deliver good results in tests.

One pack contains eight images. Since the film material is sensitive to light, it must not come into contact with it outside the camera. Optimal storage conditions are found in a dry and dark place.

The size of the images, 10.8 x 8.8 cm cm, has not changed with the new manufacturer. An area of 7.7 by 7.7 cm is provided for the actual image. The rest is filled by a white area. If white frames are too boring, there are also editions with colorful frames.

It is not possible to use Fujifilm's cheap Instax films with the photo camera.

Batteries

What kind of batteries do you need for the Polaroid 600 CLOT? The camera's power supply unit is a battery inside the film cassette. It supplies power to the camera technology and the flash. So replacing the film also provides a fresh power source. It is the only power source the camera needs.

Once the film is empty, do not dispose of the film cassette or battery in the regular household trash. It is best to take the plastic cassette or just the battery to a responsible local drop-off location.

Instructions for the Polaroid 600 CLOT

How to use the instant camera? An introductory guide to how the Polaroid camera works.

The first step is to load the film. To do this, slide the slider on the side forward so that the film door opens. The film cassette is inserted and the flap is closed again. Now the camera ejects the protective cover of the film.

The camera is now ready to take the picture. To take the picture, press the shutter release button on the side. The development of the image starts after the motor has transported the image out. The development process is finished after a short waiting time. Then you can look at the final result.

Alternatives

If you can't find the camera, you could resort to alternatives. A first option to reach for is the Polaroid One Step Flash. For them, the same films are needed and the feature set is identical.

You may also want to look at other instant cameras as an alternative. There are the LomoInstant* and Instax Mini 8*. Here, too, you can still easily purchase the film material.
