The Nikon EF300 is a snapshot camera from the 90s. It is the successor of the Nikon AF220. The model was also offered in some markets as Nikon Nice Touch 4.

The lens of the camera cannot be changed. 29 mm is the focal length of the lens. The largest aperture of the camera is f/4.5. The focus of the lens is fixed. The camera has a built-in light meter. The exposure is automatically adjusted by the Nikon EF300.

In low light conditions, the built-in flash can be used. The flash range is specified as 8 meters. The 35mm photo camera comes with a thread for a tripod. A self-timer is also built in.

The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). Of course you can also use rechargeable batteries of this type.

Films for the Nikon EF300

The Nikon EF300 needs photo film, more precisely 35mm film. 35mm films are still produced today. They can be developed in most photo laboratories. For color shots there is the Kodak Ultramax 400*. One way to get black-and-white images is the AgfaPhoto APX 100*.

The color film is processed in the C-41 process. This development process is available at almost every photo lab. The black and white film needs a special developer. You can develop it easily at home with the right chemicals and tools.

The negatives of Nikon EF300 have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm. A 35mm film (135-36) will therefore fit around 36 frames. The film is automatically winded by the camera.

Nikon EF300 QD

In addition to the normal model, a Quartz Date variant was also built in China. This model comes with an additional function and differs slightly in appearance. It offers the possibility of imprinting the date and time at the time of taking the picture in the image.
