The Minolta Instant Pro is an instant camera. The technology for the camera produced by Minolta was licensed from Polaroid. The instant camera from the 90s is designed for the Polaroid Image/Spectra format.

The Minolta Instant Pro comes with a 125mm lens. The maximum aperture is f/10, and the camera automatically sets the exposure time and aperture. However, if desired, the exposure time can be selected by the user.

The settings options on this instant camera are quite distinctive. For example, the LCD display on the back of the camera not only shows the remaining pictures, but also the settings.

So there's the familiar light/dark slider, the option to not let the autofocus set the distance settings, and a backlight correction mode. There is a mode for multiple exposures and a mode for time-lapse photography. There is also a self-timer.

Batteries and films

The Minolta Instant Pro requires films for the Image/Spectra format. These are manufactured today again by the company "Impossible". You can use the Polaroid Originals Color Film for Image & Spectra* for color images. For black and white pictures the Polaroid Originals B&W Film for Image & Spectra* is the right choice.

In a pack of these new films there is a film cassette with eight shots. The images have a size of 10.1 by 10.3 cm. The actual image takes up an image area of 9.1 x 7.2 cm. The rest of the area is filled by a white frame. This frame can be written on with a pen.

The battery for the camera and flash is located in the film cassette and is automatically replaced each time the film is changed. There is no need to buy additional battery for the camera.

The instant camera is still in great demand today. For a copy you can already put a medium amount of euros on the table.
