The Lomo'Instant Sanremo is a special edition of the Lomo'Instant. It was introduced by Lomography in May 2014. The design of the body, as you can see in the pictures, is in warm colors.
The camera is named after Sanremo in Italy, the spa town is located on the Riviera di Ponente in Liguria. Sanremo is a popular destination for beach vacationers. A tourist magnet are the passageways and alleys in the old town of Sanremo.
In addition, many cultural events take place in the city. The most famous is the annual "Festival della canzone italiana di Sanremo". The music festival / music competition has been held since 1951 and is thus considered the oldest pop music competition in Europe. Over five evenings, different performers compete against each other. For several years, the winner is sent to the Eurovision Song Contest as the Italian contribution.
Films for the camera
The LomoInstant Sanremo requires Instax Mini instant film to take pictures. Fuji still manufactures film for this format today.
It is the smallest instant format and half the size of the Instax Wide format. An Instax Mini image is 86 x 54 mm. The shooting area is 62 x 46 mm. The cute pictures are about the size of a credit card.
A special cassette holds the individual pictures. The black cassette is placed in the camera. There are usually 10 pictures in a film pack. After 10 pictures, the cassette must be removed again. You have to pay about 70 cents per picture.
Shortly after the shutter is released, the camera ejects the picture. As if out of nowhere, the picture then appears within minutes. The picture quality is not bad for an instant camera. Pens and stickers can be used to decorate the white frame around the pictures.
In addition to the color film, there is also a black and white film with the Instax Mini Monochrome*. For fans of Hello Kitty and co, there are various special editions (eBay / Amazon*) of the Instax Mini color film. For weddings, scrapbooking and parties, the Instax Mini format is well suited.
