The Lomo’Instant Automat Bottega Veneta is a limited edition of the instant camera from Lomography. It was introduced in collaboration with the luxury brand Bottega Veneta and only sold in limited quantities. Today it is very difficult to get hold of it. In terms of functionality, it is similar to other Lomo’Instant Automat models.

Design

The design of the camera is very simple. The plastic housing is black. On the front is the print "Lomo’Instant Automat" and "Bottega" in cursive. The serial number is on the inside of the film door.

The Lomo’Instant Automat Playa Jardin has a very similar design.

The camera is delivered in a red packaging with the luxury brand's logo in light blue lettering. A camera strap is also included. The camera strap is made of a braided material in red and light blue. It has two silver-colored snap hooks for attaching to the camera.

Camera functions

The Lomo'Instant Automat is characterized by its fully automatic exposure control, which adjusts the aperture, shutter speed and flash for optimal results in every situation. This makes spontaneous snapshots a breeze.

The included fisheye, wide-angle and close-up lens attachments offer creative freedom, as well as the option of multiple and long exposures (up to 30 seconds).

The operation is deliberately kept simple to encourage spontaneous photography. At the same time, the camera offers experimental functions for creative photographers.

The camera is powered by two CR2 batteries (eBay / Amazon*), the remote control requires a CR1632 battery.

Films for the instant camera

The Lomo'Instant Automat requires Instax Mini films from Fujifilm. These are available separately, for example online.

In addition to the classic color film, there is also a black and white version and various special editions with different frames.

Each film cassette contains ten images. The price per image is around 60 cents.

Bottega Veneta

Founded in Vicenza in 1966, Bottega Veneta is an Italian luxury fashion house known for its high-quality leather goods and the iconic intrecciato weave pattern. The company was acquired by the Gucci Group in 2001 and has since become a globally recognized brand.

It is not the only company that has collaborated with camera manufacturers. There is also a Polaroid camera from Fendi and Martell Cognac.
