The Lomo LC-A+ 25 Years of Lomography Edition is a special edition of the popular 35mm camera. It was introduced by Lomography in January 2018 and is meant to commemorate the year Lomography was created (1992).
The edition is limited edition and features the elegant leather design. On the back is the saying "25 Years No Rules Happy Mistakes Analogue Love". There is a case in matching leather for the camera.
Besides the LC-A+ edition, Lomography also introduced an edition of the Lomo LC-A 120 and the Lomo LC-Wide.
The camera comes with a leather camera strap, the camera, a cable release, LR44 batteries, a book and a manual. In terms of functionality, it is identical to the normal Lomo LC-A+.
Films for the Lomo LC-A+
The Lomo LC-A+ is designed for 35mm film. This type of film is still in production and can be processed by most photo labs without any problems. Kodak Ultramax 400* is a 35mm film for color photography. A possible black and white film is the Kodak T-Max 100*.
Of course, there are many other films that can be used with the camera. There are also 35mm films from Fujifilm, Ilford, Rollei and Lomography.
The color film is developed in the C-41 process. The black and white film must be bathed in a black and white developer. Both types of development are offered by many professional photo labs.
You can also do the development at home. You can easily buy the development chemistry and laboratory supplies online. Developing a color film is in most cases a bit more complex. The work steps for a black and white film are a little less complicated and there are fewer steps. Depending on the photo lab, developing at home is even cheaper in the long run.
