The plastic lens of the camera (eBay / Amazon*) has an 89° angle of view. The aperture cannot be changed, it is fixed at f/8. The MX switch allows for easy multiple exposures. Long exposures are possible with the Bulb mode. The camera does not lack a connection for a remote shutter release and a tripod.

The Sapphire Serpent is fed with 35mm film (eBay / Amazon*), whether Redscale, color negative film, slide film or black and white film. The number of pictures taken is indicated by the film counter.
