The Kyocera T is a 35mm camera. It was manufactured by Kyocera and sold under both the name "Kyocera T" and under the "Yashica" brand, which was acquired by Kyocera Corporation in 1983, as Yashica T2.
The Kyocera T is equipped with a Carl Zeiss T* Tessar f/2.8 35mm lens. The connected fixed focal length enables sharp focusing using autofocus. The minimum focusing distance is one meter.
All exposure settings, including exposure time and aperture, are made automatically by the camera. The exposure meter is compatible with films that have a sensitivity between ISO 50 and ISO 1600. Film transport and rewinding are automatic.
The T is equipped with an integrated flash for situations with low lighting. The entire camera is powered by a 2CR5 6V battery, which can be easily found online. Without this battery it is not possible to use the Kyocera T.
The device weighs 300 grams without the battery and measures 132 x 73 x 48 mm.
Films for the camera
A wide range of 35mm films are available that can be used with the camera. These include, for example, the Kodak Gold 200* and the Ilford Delta 100*, which are suitable for 35 mm compact cameras from Japan. Other providers such as Foma, Fujifilm, Adox and Rollei offer a diverse selection of 35mm films for a wide variety of shooting scenarios.
It is important that the film you choose has a special encoding on the cassette so that the camera can correctly regulate the film sensitivity. Otherwise, the photos could be under- or over-exposed. Most 35mm films have this type of coding on the cassette.
