The Konica Minolta Zoom 150c is a compact camera. It was introduced to the public in 2004. The model is characterized by its ease of use and variety of automatics, so it was especially aimed at beginners and few users. The new price for a set with batteries and film was around 150 euros at the time.
The 35mm photo camera comes with a fixed zoom lens. 38 mm to 150 mm is the possible zoom range of the lens. The zoom factor is thus equivalent to 4X. The largest aperture of the camera is f/4.5 at 38 mm. There is no need to focus manually with the 35 mm camera. The Konica Minolta Zoom 150c comes with a 5-phase autofocus.
The 35 mm camera has a built-in light meter. The aperture and shutter speed are automatically controlled by the camera's electronics. The film speed is read out via DX code on the film cartridge.
Sufficient light is provided by the built-in flash. The flash also works automatically, of course, and you don't have to make any adjustments. There is an automatic for red-eye prevention. For backlit shots, there's a special fill mode so the flash is guaranteed to fire and compensate for the brightness difference. The flash can also be turned off.
The complete camera weighs 190 grams, according to the manual. It requires one CR2 battery (eBay / Amazon*). The batteries are of course needed to operate the camera. Among other things, the current also flows into the display on the top and the motor for transporting the film.
Films for the Konica Minolta Zoom 150c
The Konica Minolta Zoom 150c is loaded with 35mm film. 35mm films are still produced by various manufacturers. A good choice for color and black and white images is the Kodak Ultramax 400* and the Kodak T-Max 100*. Both films are well suited for everyday use and are convincing in test reports. Especially for the 35mm format there are other manufacturers of film material.
The development of the color film is done in the C-41 process. This development process is offered by most laboratories. Most drugstore chains in Germany offer the development of color film.
Konica Minolta Zoom 150c Date
In addition to the regular model, a Quartz Date variant was sold. This model was a bit expensive and offers the possibility of exposing the shooting time into the pictures. The advantage is that you can see directly when the picture was taken, so there is little guessing. The disadvantage is of course an aesthetic one.
