The sensitivity of the inserted film is read out via the DX coding on the cartridge. The compact camera is equipped with a built-in flash. The flash fires with every picture and cannot be turned off. With ISO 100 films, it reaches up to 2.8 meters. When the LED on the back lights up, the flash is ready for use. Recharging time with fresh batteries is around five seconds.
Used to power the camera are two AAA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). The batteries are also necessary for the motor for film transport. Operation without batteries is not possible with this model. To save power, the camera shuts itself off after a few minutes of non-use.

According to the manual, the Kodak KB 32 is designed for 35mm format. For this film format, there is still a good selection of material for color and black and white images. For color images, you can reach for the Kodak Ultramax 400*. The Ilford HP5* is a recommendation for black and white images. Both films are excellent choices for shooting at a party, on vacation, or on a trip.
