The Kodak 35 AF2 is a simple snapshot camera. It was presented by Kodak in the 80s and was aimed primarily at beginners and amateur photographers. The housing of the camera is largely made of plastic.
The lens of the camera cannot be changed. The lens is called "Kodak Ekton 35mm f/2.8". The focal length is 35 mm. The largest aperture is f/2.8. The camera is equipped with an autofocus. The viewfinder is not connected to the lens and therefore only gives a rough view of the finished image.
The Kodak 35 AF2 comes with an exposure meter. The aperture and exposure time are set automatically and cannot be changed. There is a built-in flash for taking pictures in low light. A CR2 battery (eBay / Amazon*) provides the power supply.
Films for the Kodak 35 AF2
The Kodak 35 AF2 is designed for 35 mm format. These films are still in production and can be quoted by almost any supplier of development work. Beautiful 35mm films for color or black and white images are the Fujifilm Superia 400* and the Ilford Delta 400*.
The color film is processed in the C-41 process. This is offered by almost every photo lab. Often very uncomplicated, is the delivery of the films to one of the large German drugstore chains. The black and white film must be developed in a proper black and white developer. This is also possible in most professional photo labs. However, developing at home is also very easy with the necessary equipment.
The exposure area of the 35mm camera is 24 mm x 36 mm. The film is transported automatically. The camera recognizes the sensitivity of the film by the DX code printed on the cartridge. It is not possible to set the film speed yourself.
