The Hanimex 35 MAF from Hanimex, made in Hong Kong, is a compact camera model. In terms of functionality, it is similar to the Haking MW 35AF. It stands to reason that the camera was made by Haking.
It is equipped with a fixed lens that has a focal length of 38mm and a maximum aperture of f/3.8.
With technology and sensors, the camera can focus itself. However, it should be noted that you keep a minimum distance of 100 cm to the subject. There is no manual focus adjustment.
The light sensor integrated in the Hanimex 35 MAF guarantees exposure. The film sensitivity can be adjusted directly on the lens. The camera technology is responsible for automatic exposure control and adjusts time and aperture - with only the aperture being variable. The fixed shutter speed is 1/125 second.
A built-in flash offers help in poor lighting conditions. In addition, the Hanimex 35 MAF has interfaces for a cable release and a tripod. It is also easily possible to attach a carrying strap.

Film selection for the Hanimex 35 MAF
Without 35mm films, the Hanimex 35 MAF remains a dumb tool. It is specially designed for 35mm films that are developed in specialized laboratories.
The standout 35mm films are Kodak Ultramax 400* and Kodak T-Max 400*, which consistently produce excellent images. But brands like Lomography, Rollei, Ilford, Fujifilm and Adox are also recommended.
The picture format is 24mm x 36mm. A common film (135-36) usually contains 36 frames. An integrated motor drives the film forward after each shot and during rewind.
