The Instax Square format is based on the Polaroid 600. The picture taken is also square and surrounded by a frame. The Fuji format, however, is somewhat smaller (8.6 x 7.2 cm; picture: 6.2 x 6.2 cm).
After the picture is taken, a motor transports the image out of the camera. After about 90 seconds you have the finished developed instant image in your hands.
