The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Winnie-the-Pooh is a special edition. It was offered until 2014. The model has a yellow case with a Winnie the Pooh print.
Camera functions
The Instax Mini 8 is effortless to use: a simple press of the button next to the lens brings it to life, and a gentle push on the lens puts it back into sleep mode.
Four different modes (Indoor, Cloudy, Sunny, Very Sunny) adjust the camera to the prevailing lighting conditions, with an LED indicator signaling the camera's recommended mode. The lens can be rotated to switch between modes.
The viewfinder provides an approximate orientation for the image section because it is not directly connected to the lens. An operating manual is usually not necessary as handling is intuitive.
The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 has an integrated flash that triggers automatically with every shot and has a range of up to 2.7 meters. Manually deactivating the flash is not possible.
The image section is ideal for portraits and selfies; there is no zoom. A small mirror next to the lens makes it easier to take self-portraits.
A tripod thread, remote shutter release and self-timer function are not available on the Instax Mini 8.
There is a frame counter on the back that shows the number of shots remaining. Eyelets on the side allow you to attach a hand strap or camera strap.
Films for the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Winnie-the-Pooh
The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 is designed for the Instax Mini format, for which Fujifilm produces the corresponding instant film.
This format is the smallest on the market and half the size of the Instax Wide format. One image measures 8.6 x 5.4 cm, with the actual image measuring 62 x 46 mm and the rest forming the frame. A debit card can serve as a size comparison for an Instax Mini image.
The instant images are housed in a cassette that is inserted into the camera. Each cassette contains ten images. As soon as the frame counter shows zero, the cassette must be changed. The cost per image is around 70 cents.
Once the image is ejected, development only takes a few minutes. The color films (Instax Mini Film*) are characterized by intense colors, while the white frame can be designed as desired with pens and stickers.
The Instax Mini Monochrome* is available for black and white recordings. The Instax Mini format is often used at weddings and in scrapbooking.
