The Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 is a limited edition. It is a collaboration between Haribo and Fujifilm. The limited package will be presented in mid-May 2024 and is only available in South Korea.
Special features of the edition
The package contains a normal Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 in white. The special features are an adhesive film for the camera, which has been decorated with several gold bears. There is also a matching Haribo X Instax camera strap, a cardboard frame for an instant photo and stickers to decorate the white frame of the Instax photo. The specially designed packaging also contains a bag of Haribo gold bears.
In terms of functionality, it is a normal Fujifilm Instax Mini 12. The instant camera is characterized by its ease of use and compact design. It is aimed at users who value spontaneous and uncomplicated photography and want to capture their memories in the classic instant photo format.
Technical features and functions
The heart of the Instax Mini 12 is a built-in lens with a focal length of 60 mm and a maximum aperture of f/12.7. The focus is fixed, which means that objects are sharply depicted from a distance of 30 cm. A special mode for close-ups allows subjects to be photographed from very close up. A small mirror is available for self-portraits.
The exposure settings are automatically adjusted by the camera, with shutter speeds varying between 1/250 second and half a second. In poor lighting conditions, the integrated flash ensures sufficient illumination. This fires with every shot and cannot be deactivated. The camera achieves an ISO sensitivity of 800 and the flash has a range of up to 2.2 meters.
The Instax Mini 12 does not have additional functions such as a self-timer or a tripod thread.
Design and handling
With dimensions of 10.4 x 12.2 x 6.66 cm and a weight of 306 grams, the camera is compact and easy to transport. It is powered by two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*), which are enough for around 100 photos or ten film cassettes.
Films and image format
The Instax Mini 12 requires special Instax Mini instant films. These are available in both color and black and white. The images produced by the camera are approximately the size of a credit card and are automatically ejected after the shot. The image develops within a few minutes and can be viewed. Each film cassette contains ten images.
