The Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 EXPO 25 is a limited special edition of the Instax mini 12 instant camera, which was created in collaboration with the Osaka/Kansai Expo 2025. The set includes the camera itself as well as a special silicone case designed with the Expo's official mascot, "Myaku Myaku". In terms of functionality, it is similar to the normal camera.
In addition to the Instax Mini 12, a matching film was also presented. There is also an EXPO 25 version of the Instax Mini Link 2 printer.
Camera functions
The camera is equipped with a fixed integrated lens that offers a focal length of 60 mm and a maximum aperture of f/12.7. The focus of the lens is fixed; manual adjustment is not provided. Objects can be imaged sharply from a distance of 30 cm, with a special mode available for close-ups. There is also a small mirror for selfies.
The Instax Mini 12 automatically adjusts exposure settings, with shutter speeds varying between 1/250th of a second and half a second. If there is insufficient light, the built-in flash is activated, which reaches a range of up to 2.2 meters at an ISO sensitivity of 800. The flash fires with every shot and cannot be deactivated.
Although functions such as a self-timer or tripod socket are missing, the model allows for easy operation and quick capture of moments.
With dimensions of 10.4 x 12.2 x 6.66 cm and a weight of 306 grams, the Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 is compact and lightweight. Two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) reliably supply the camera with energy, with one set being enough for around 100 photos, i.e. ten film cassettes.
Films for the Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 EXPO 25
Special instant film is required to use the Fujifilm Instax Mini 12, with Instax Mini films being the recommended choice. The images produced by the camera are approximately the size of a credit card and can be captured in both color (Instax Mini Film*) and black and white (Instax Mini Monochrome*).
After each shot, the film is automatically ejected, starting the image development process. Within a few minutes you have the finished picture in your hands. Each film cassette contains ten recordings to capture special moments.
