The Ansco Tegra AF, a straightforward 35mm camera also known as the Haking Tegra AF and Halina Tegra AF, is ideal for snapshots and spontaneous photography. The model was probably built in Hong Kong by the Haking company in the late 1980s.
Camera functions
Thanks to its built-in lens and reliable autofocus, there is no need for tedious manual adjustments, so you can concentrate fully on your subject. The camera electronics take over fully automatic control to achieve optimal results in every situation.
An integrated flash with fill-in flash function ensures that your pictures are well exposed even in difficult lighting conditions, such as backlighting or shadows. The fill-in flash is particularly useful for outdoor portraits to lighten unsightly shadows on the face.
Batteries and film
The Ansco Tegra AF is powered by two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) and uses common 35mm film, which is still widely available today. For vivid color images, we recommend the Fujifilm Superia 400*, while the Ilford Delta 100* produces excellent black and white images. Of course, you can also use other films of your choice to discover your individual style.
With the common 35mm format (24 mm x 36 mm), the camera has space for around 36 images per roll of film. The automatic film advance ensures smooth operation, so you don’t have to worry about manually winding the film.
