The PX 70 Color Shade Cool is an instant film. It was introduced in the spring of 2012 by The Impossible Project in the “Cool Line”. The silver packaging contains the latest version of the PX 70 at this time, April 2012.

The latest research and formula was used for this color film. With it, the PX 70 CS Cool fabricates very special color images. These can be admired after a development time of 10 to 20 minutes.

It can be used with the old SX-70 cameras from Polaroid. The light/dark wheel should be turned 1/3 to the dark setting, due to the higher sensitivity.

The PX 70 Color Shade Cool should be stored in a cool place. Impossible recommends a temperature of 5 to 10°C for storage. You should not freeze the instant film, as the cold could damage it.

For good results with the PX 70 Color Shade Cool, it should be protected from light immediately after the camera ejects the image, for example with a darkslide or your hand. The first 30 seconds are the most dangerous.

One box of instant film contains eight images. A battery for the camera and flash is already installed in the film pack.

Update

This film is no longer in production. The latest generation of black and white film for this format is the Polaroid Color Film for SX-70*.
