How does the Custom SLR Dual Camera Strap perform in our test and is it worth buying?
Camera straps have been a topic before, especially the straps from Custom SLR we have reviewed several times. Personally, I have not yet found the perfect "camera transport solution". Today, we are looking at a more specific problem: a mounting option for two cameras.
Especially at events like concerts, weddings, and the like, it's about pressing the shutter at the right moment with the right camera. There is nothing worse than missing a great shot just because you are changing the battery or swapping the lens. So you use two cameras, which doubles the strap problem. One option is to use two straps, in my opinion, in the worst case, the ones that come with the camera, which is cumbersome and dangerous – I would surely have a camera slip off my shoulder.
For this reason, there are special straps for two cameras. The most important requirements for such an accessory for me are that the strap is comfortable to wear and that the cameras are securely attached and quickly accessible. Let's see if the Custom SLR Dual Camera Strap can meet these requirements.

Let's start with the construction of the strap, which is already very interesting. The Dual Camera Strap consists of two Glide One straps (Amazon, which can also be used individually. That means if you already have one such strap, you only need to buy a second one and the conversion kit.
The "assembly" of the strap is done in a few minutes. Depending on your preference, the strap can be adjusted in length up to 178 cm. The system is designed for equipment weighing up to 7.25 kg.
As known from the Glide straps, you pull up to photograph, and with two buckles, the camera can also be fixed in one position. The cameras are attached to the tripod thread via the C-Loop system and can be quickly detached from the strap with a buckle.
Conclusion
As usual with Custom SLR, I am again very satisfied with the product. The Dual Camera Strap is very comfortable to wear and the weight of the cameras is distributed; the padded parts from Custom SLR are simply good. I was surprised that the strap can also be used quite well with a shoulder bag.
As with all sliding straps, you have to get used to the fact that the camera moves when you move, and you always have to be careful how you turn and such. Also, if you want to remain unnoticed as a photographer, I would not recommend such a system.
I would recommend the Custom SLR Dual Camera Strap to anyone who needs to have two cameras ready at the same time.
