The Polaroid 600 Business Edition Peachtree is a camera from Polaroid. It is an instant camera. The functionality of the model is the same as the Polaroid One Step Flash Closeup. It was created in collaboration with Peachtree Software.

Peachtree was a software company from the USA. It developed software solutions, such as for accounting, for small businesses. One of the company’s products was the Product Recorder. The logo in the shape of a peach and the words “Peachtree Project Recorder” can be found next to the flash.

The Polaroid 600 Business Edition Peachtree is characterized by its straightforward handling. Many of the setting options available on other types of cameras have been eliminated. Its simplicity allows it to be used on many occasions. If you are hosting a wedding or a lavish party, the camera is an excellent choice for taking photos. However, it can also be a lot of fun on vacation.

The basic exposure settings cannot be changed. Aperture and shutter speed, for example, cannot be changed by the user. The lens is fixed and not interchangeable. A zoom, as found in smartphones, is not available on this model. Therefore, you should take a few steps closer to the subject for close-ups. A minimum distance of 60 cm is necessary for sharp pictures.

Does the Polaroid instant camera have a flash? Yes, the instant camera has a built-in flash. The flash fires automatically. Due to the small aperture, the use of the flash is mainly useful indoors.

Films for the Polaroid 600 Business Edition Peachtree

Of course, instant film is also needed for the photo camera. The original camera manufacturer no longer produces film stock. A factory in the Netherlands has been producing film for the 600 format again since 2010.

There is a color and a black-and-white film for the 600 format. The Polaroid Color Film for 600* is the film for color photos. Those who prefer monochrome images can choose the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. This is also confirmed in various test reports.

One box of a film contains eight photos. Under no circumstances should the light-sensitive material come into contact with light. Optimal storage conditions for the unexposed film material are found in a cool and dry place.

The defined size of an image is 10.8 x 8.8 cm. In this case, the captured image occupies an area of 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The remaining area of the Polaroid picture is white. If white frames are too boring, there are also editions with colorful frames.

Not compatible are the instant films from Fujifilm. Instax films cannot be used with the Polaroid 600 Business Edition Peachtree.

Batteries

What kind of batteries do you need for the instant camera? With this type of camera, the power source is found inside the film cassette. The disposable battery is rated high enough to last for all unexposed photos in the cassette. Even when using the flash for each shot. So when you change the film, you also replace the camera’s battery. An additional battery is not necessary.

The disposable battery does not belong in the household waste together with the film cassette. It is best to take the plastic cassette or battery to a suitable local drop-off point.

Tutorial for the Polaroid 600 Business Edition Peachtree

How to take photos with the instant camera? A brief tutorial on how the camera works.

The first step is to insert the film. To do this, first push the slider on the side forward that the film door opens. Then the film cassette is inserted. The flap can then be closed again. The protective film that has protected the film material from light up to now is now automatically removed by the camera technology.

Now it’s time to take the picture. View the subject through the viewfinder and press the shutter release button. The development of the image begins after the motor has transported the image out. Within a few minutes, the development process is complete and you can view the final result.

Alternative Options

If you can’t locate the camera, you can opt for alternatives. The first option is, of course, the Polaroid One Step Flash Closeup. It has the same features. In addition, the same film material is used.

If it should be a different film format, there is a larger selection of different instant cameras. Outside of the Polaroid world, you can find the LomoInstant Automat* and Instax Mini 11*, for example. The films for these models can be conveniently purchased online.
