Although the Polaroid 3000 AF is a camera from Polaroid, it is not an instant camera. It probably dates from the 1990s when other types of cameras were sold under the Polaroid brand. The 35mm camera has a connection option for a tripod. This is a handy feature when taking photos with the self-timer. There’s also a panorama mode, which isn’t authentic. In this mode, the photo is reduced to a size of 13 x 36 mm, giving the appearance of a panoramic image.

Another function is the data backplane. There is a clock with a calendar installed. So it is possible to expose the recording time in the pictures. If you don’t want that, you can deactivate the function.

Two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) are responsible for the power supply. These supply the camera with power. The AA battery type is very easy to find and lasts a long time.

Films for the Polaroid 3000 AF

Which films does the Polaroid 3000 AF need? The camera needs films of 35mm format. These films are still being made and can be referenced with almost any processing work provider. Of course, you don’t have to use Polaroid films here.

Possible films for the Polaroid 3000 AF that you can still buy today are Kodak ColorPlus 200* and Ilford Delta 100*. Reviews have confirmed that both films are well suited for everyday use and stand the test of time.

Color negative film is processed using the C-41 process. Almost every photo lab offers this service. For example, you can submit your films to numerous drugstores in Germany for development. On the other hand, the processing of black and white films must be carried out with a special black and white developer. Instructions for this are available for most films.

The negatives of the Polaroid 3000 AF are 24mm x 36mm. At least 36 exposures fit on a roll of film. This camera model has a motorized film transport that is not controlled by manual operation. A display on the top of the case shows the number of photos taken.
