The La Sardina DIY for Tinkerers to Design Yourself

It's time again for a La Sardina edition, this time you can design it yourself.

Today Lomography has introduced another version of their La Sardina, the La Sardina DIY (DIY = Do it yourself). This time you can decide the design of the wide-angle camera yourself, something some have been wishing for. Completely white, the plastic camera comes with the matching flash. So you can paint, decorate, and stick on the camera as you wish. With the included screwdriver, the shell can be removed for easier designing.

The package includes the flash, color filters for the flash, a lens cap, the camera, some spare screws, a transparent plate for the front and back, a poster, and a book with photos. The camera costs 99 euros at Lomography.

Of course, its functionality is identical to the other La Sardina versions. A 22 mm lens with a fixed aperture of f/8 provides great wide-angle shots. With the included flash, you can take good pictures even in low light conditions.

Focusing is quite simple with the two settings (0.6 – 1m, 1m - infinity). Additionally, it is equipped with a bulb mode for long exposures, a switch for multiple exposures, a tripod thread (1/4"), and a connection for a cable release.
