The Impossible Project revises its films and simplifies the naming

Impossible is constantly working on its films and therefore regularly releases revised versions of its instant films. This time, practically the entire range, 600, SX-70 and Image/Spectra, has been replaced by a new version.
Impossible promises better colors and improved sharpness with the new color films. The development time has also been shortened, according to product specifications, to around 30 minutes.
The range of black and white films for SX-70, 600 and Image/Spectra cameras has also been updated. Not much is known about these films yet.
The films also have a new packaging and a new name. The naming is now simpler and easier for outsiders to understand. The new names are composed of color (Color) and black and white (B&W) together with the film format.
In addition to the common Polaroid formats, there are also films specifically for Impossible hardware, currently only the Instant Lab. The special feature is that there is no longer a battery in the film cassette. The biggest advantage for the user is probably the lower price.
As with the old films, there will be versions with silver and gold frames for the color films and black for the black and white film, instead of the normal white frames. For Christmas, there will also be a limited edition with colorful frames. So far, only 600 versions have been announced, the other formats are only available with a white frame.

For a pack of 8 pictures you pay 20 euros for all formats. The black and white films should be available shortly. The films for "Impossible Hardware" should also be available in the near future, a price for these is not yet known.
Over a period of 18 months, the new films were developed by teams in Monheim, Germany and Enschede, Netherlands. The Color Protection films and the PX and PZ films in general are replaced by the new films and will therefore no longer be produced.
The Impossible Project took over the Polaroid factory in Enschede in 2008. In 2010, the first film, the PX 100 Silver Shade First Flush, came onto the market.
