Finally, the time has come: Impossible has introduced the first real instant camera.
The I-1, as the good piece is called, advertises the camera with nothing less than the slogan "The Original Instant Camera. Reinvented.".
The I-1 is designed for the Type 600 format and, unlike some Polaroid cameras, features a very minimalist design. The design is somewhat inspired by the Polaroid SX-70 box cameras, such as the Polaroid 2000.

Settings are not made directly on the camera, but through an iPhone app (an Android and Watch app is planned). The instant camera is connected via Bluetooth. This allows control of aperture, exposure time, and the strength of the built-in flash.
Power for the camera comes from a built-in battery and no longer from the film pack. It is charged via USB and should last for 25 film packs, i.e., 200 pictures.
The Impossible I-1 will be available from May 10, 2016. The price is expected to be $300 USD.
