The Konica FP is a single lens reflex camera. It was introduced by Konica in 1963. In Germany it was also sold under the own brand name of Foto Quelle as Revue SR. Over the pond it was offered as Wards SLR 700. The FP was the first camera of the Japanese company with a Copal metal shutter.

The Konica FP comes with interchangeable lenses. She comes with a Konica F bayonet, the predecessor bayonet in front of the Konica AR bayonet. The single lens reflex camera does not have an autofocus function. The focus is set manually.

The aperture and exposure time can be freely adjusted according to the photographer’s wishes. You can choose an exposure time between 1/1000 second and 1 second. The Konica FP has a bulb mode, e. g. for long exposures.

An external flash can be used via the PC flash socket. There is also an additional attachment for the use of flashes with accessory shoe. However, this does not have a contact for firing a hot shoe flash.
