The Kodak T-Max 100 is a black and white film. The panchromatic film has a sensitivity of ISO 100, but the T-Max 100 can also be pushed or pulled by one or two stops.

Kodak advertises it as being the finest grain ISO 100 B&W film. The T-Max 100 also boasts very good sharpness and is equipped with T-Max flat crystal technology. It is therefore well suited for enlargements.

As an area of application, Kodak gives both outdoor and indoor photography.

Abbreviated “TMX”, it can be found e.g. at the edge of the film. It must be developed in a suitable black and white developer.

Formats

The Kodak Professional T-Max 100 is available in various formats, besides the usual 35mm and medium format films, it is also available as sheet film (4×5″, 8×10″). In addition to the 100, there is also the T-Max 400. The Kodak T-Max P3200 has been discontinued in the meantime, but is now available again.

With one roll of the 35mm film, you can press the shutter 36 times. The cartridge of the film was DX coded. It is possible for modern cameras to automatically set the film speed by reading the code applied to the film. Manufacturers such as Agfa, Lomography or Revue offer suitable cameras for the 35mm format.

It is necessary to use a medium format camera for roll film to expose the film. There are various models with different functions from well-known brands such as Rollei, Holga or even Minolta, to name just a few, which provide great pictures with the black and white film.
