Films for the Halina 2000

According to the instruction manual, the Halina 2000 is designed for 35 mm format. These are still easy to obtain today and are still being developed.

Possible films for the Halina 2000 are the Kodak Ultramax 400* for colour photos and the AgfaPhoto APX 400* for b/w images. The colour film is processed in the C-41 process. This is offered by almost every photo lab. The black and white film must be developed in the appropriate chemistry.

The C-41 process for developing colour film is a standardised and widely used method that ensures consistent and reliable results for different brands of film. It involves a series of chemical baths in which the exposed film is developed, bleached to remove unexposed silver halides, fixed to stabilise the image, and finally washed to remove chemical residue. The result is a series of negatives that can be used to make prints or digital scans.

The negatives produced by the Halina 2000 have a standard format of 24 mm x 36 mm, which is the same as other 35 mm film cameras. This format has become the industry standard due to its versatility and compatibility with a range of photographic equipment and processes.

After each exposure, the film must be wound manually to obtain the next image.
