Fomapan 200

The Fomapan 200 Creative is a panchromatic black and white film produced by the Czech manufacturer Foma Bohemia in Hradec Králové. It is available in various formats, including 35mm (135), roll film (120) for medium format cameras and sheet film for large format cameras.

The film is characterized by its nominal sensitivity of ISO 200/24°, making it currently the only commercially available black and white film with this specific sensitivity. It offers a generous exposure latitude and thus enables good results even with slight over- or underexposure.

Fomapan 200 Creative is valued for its fine grain and high sharpness, properties that make it attractive for a wide range of applications, from portraits and landscapes to architecture and street photography.

The film can be developed in a variety of common developers, including Kodak XTOL, Kodak D-76 and Rodinal. Foma itself recommends its own developer, Fomadon R09, which is similar to the well-known Rodinal. The choice of developer and development time can affect the final properties of the negative, such as contrast and grain.
