The Fisheye No. 2 Acapulco La Quebrada is an edition of the 35mm camera by Lomography. It was presented to the public in August 2022. A La Sardina edition was also presented at the same time.
The body of the camera is made of plastic. In this Special Edition, the front and back are partly covered with a striped colourful fabric. Each model is a little bit unique. The fabric is always cut differently.
The lens of the camera cannot be changed. The focal length is unchangeable and is 10 mm. This is how the fisheye effect is created in the camera’s pictures. The largest available aperture is f/8. The focus of the lens is fixed, so you cannot focus yourself.
There are two options for the shutter speed, a normal 1/100 second mode or the Bulb mode. This mode is intended for long exposures.
Of course, there is also a built-in flash. Via hot shoe, an external flash can be used with the 35 mm camera.
An AA battery (eBay / Amazon*) is responsible for the power supply. The battery is only needed for the flash. The rest of the functions are completely mechanical.
Films for the Fisheye No. 2 Acapulco La Quebrada
The Fisheye No. 2 Acapulco La Quebrada requires 35mm film. This type of film is still produced and can be processed by most photo labs without any problems. A possible film for colour images is the Kodak Gold 200*. A possibility for b/w pictures is the Ilford XP2 Super*. Especially for the 35mm format there are other manufacturers of film material.
Colour film is developed using the C-41 process. The C-41 process is offered by almost every photo lab. Developing a 35 mm colour film is possible, for example, at most drugstore chains in Germany.
