The Revolog Volvox is a color negative film. The special thing about this film is that the whole film is covered with bright green dots and speckles. The dots of different sizes are scattered randomly on the photo. The effect is more pronounced in the dark areas of the image.
The Volvox is only available as 35mm film, but with two different sensitivities. The 100 is available with 36 frames, the ISO 200 is available with 12 frames.
The film was named after Volvox, a genus of multicellular green algae that looks very similar to the effect. The idea for the name came from one of Revolog's customers.
