ORWO NP 27

  • Manufacturer ORWO
  • Sensitivity (ISO) ISO 400
  • Film Type Black and white film
  • Availability Discontinued

The ORWO NP 27 is a black and white film. It was produced in the VEB Filmfabrik Wolfen in the GDR.

The NP27 has superpanchromatic sensitization. It is designed for daylight and incandescent light shooting.

The ORWO NP 27 has a sensitivity of ISO 400. If you get your hands on a roll of B/W film today, you should expose it a little more strongly or extend the development time during processing to compensate for the loss of sensitivity over the years.

The developer used is a normal black and white developer, such as Rodinal (Adox Adonal/R09 One Shot).

At that time, the NP 27 could be bought as roll film (120, 220, 127, 620), 35mm film and for large format cameras (9x12 cm to 24x30 cm). The 35mm film was available in cartridges (135-36), for the SL system and by the meter.
