The Kodak Elite Chrome EBX (Extra Color) 100 is a slide film. It is an amateur film from Kodak, so it is only available as 35mm film.

When developed in E6, you get, as the name of the film suggests, strong saturated colors. In addition, there is good sharpness and a fine grain.

When cross-developed in C-41, the slide film produces saturated colors and great contrasts.
You get a real black in the depths and the colors turn slightly green to yellow. In terms of colors, it is similar to Rollei Digibase CR 200 or Rollei Crossbird, but it has a finer grain. Compared to the AgfaPhoto CT Precisa 100, the color shifts are a bit smoother.

The Elite Chrome EBX was discontinued by Kodak in 2012 and is no longer manufactured. The film was only produced for 35mm cameras. If you can still find a roll of the film today, you can use it in most 35mm cameras. The cartridges are DX encoded, allowing the film speed to be triggered by the camera.

Sample photos

All sample photos were taken with the Lomo LC-A+ (eBay / Amazon*). Developed the film in all shots in the C-41 process.
