The Diana F+ Hong Meow is a variant of the Diana F+ from Lomography. This limited edition was made for the launch of the Diana World Tour 2008 in Hong Kong.
It was designed by the Lomography Asia team. The camera is said to be reminiscent of a panda and bamboo with its black and white color scheme and bamboo green strap, among other things. The Hong Meow is full of small details like a panda on the rewind button and distance icons based on pandas. “Hong Meow” is the phonetic translation of “panda” into Cantonese, the language predominantly spoken in Hong Kong.
On the packaging there is a bamboo design and a series of pictures, this is to show the daily life of a panda in Hong Kong. In addition to the camera, the cardboard box also contains a book, adapters for other flashes, a mask for the various image formats, the Diana F+ Flash and color filters.
The functions of the Diana F+ Hong Meow are of course identical to the normal Diana F+.
The Diana F+ is faithful replicas of the original of the 60s. This camera can be used to take endless panoramas and pinhole shots, take multiple and long exposures, and even, with additional accessories, take instant pictures.
