Cosina C2

The Cosina C2 is a single lens reflex camera. It was built by Cosina in Japan. It has features reminiscent of the Canon T60 and Nikon FE10. The camera was also sold under the own brands of Foto-Quelle and Photo Porst.

The Cosina C2 features exchangeable lenses. Lenses with a Pentax K lens mount can be used. The focus of the lens must be adjusted manually. There is no autofocus system of any kind.

Photography is made easier by the built-in exposure meter. It can adjust the exposure for films with a sensitivity of ISO 25 to ISO 3200. The exposure meter is designed to measure exposure through the lens of the camera. The aperture and shutter speed can be individually configured. But there is also an automatic mode.

The Cosina C2 has a bulb setting. The shutter stays open as long as desired. An external flash device can be fired via the built-in hot shoe. In the Cosina C2 is a thread for a tripod built-in. In addition, there is a connector for a cable release and a self-timer.

The dimensions of the Cosina C2 are 13,8 x 8,8 x 5,8 cm. It brings 370 grams on the scales. The power source of the 35mm camera are two LR44 batteries (eBay / Amazon*).

Films for the Cosina C2

The Cosina C2 exposes cartridges with 35mm film. 35mm films are still produced by different producers. A color film for 35mm camera is the Kodak Gold 200*. A possible film for black-and-white images is the Ilford XP2 Super*.
