Analog cameras were also manufactured in what is now Belarus/Belarus during the Soviet era. For example, the production halls of BelOMO (Belorussian Optical and Mechanical Association) were located in Minsk. The cameras were then sold to the local population. However, part of the production was also exported and used by photographers outside the country's borders.
