The Yes!Star Fun Shooting (occasionally also referred to as Yes!Star Fun Shooting Flash) is an analog 35mm disposable camera from the Chinese manufacturer Yes!Star. It was designed as a simple tool for leisure photography and complements the manufacturer's range of analog disposable products. The camera is primarily aimed at beginners as well as people who want to capture spontaneous moments in an analog style without much technical effort.
Functions of the disposable camera
The operation of the Yes!Star Fun Shooting is based on a proven and highly simplified camera technology. The body contains a fixed focus plastic lens. Since no manual focusing is provided, the plane of sharpness is in a fixed range, which usually starts at a distance of about one meter and extends to infinity.
Exposure is not controlled by a light meter on this model. Aperture and shutter speed are fixed, which is why the camera is primarily designed for outdoor shots in daylight.
For situations with low ambient light or indoors, there is an integrated flash that can be activated manually via a button on the front.
The necessary energy for the flash is supplied by an internal battery. The recording medium is an integrated 35mm film with a sensitivity of ISO 400, designed for a total of 27 exposures.
Film development and processing
After exposing all 27 shots, the film remains in the sealed body of the camera. To make the images visible, the entire camera is handed over undamaged to a photo lab or collection point. There, the body is opened to develop the color negative film using the standardized C41 process.
After the development process, consumers receive either classic paper prints or digital image files. The empty plastic body is then processed, if possible, through the manufacturer's or waste disposal companies' corresponding recycling programs.
