The Revue FCJ model is one of the cameras offered by photo provider Foto Quelle. In Germany it was available through Foto Quelle. This device was probably manufactured in Asia.

The camera comes with a plastic body and has a fixed 35mm lens that cannot be swapped out. Focus adjustment is not possible. The focus is fixed. There is no auto focus. A slider protects the lens.

This camera does not have an integrated exposure meter. Aperture and shutter speed are fixed and cannot be changed. The aperture will probably be around f/8. Values around 1/100 second are common for the shutter speed.

A built-in flash makes it easy to take pictures in poor light conditions. It can be activated via a slide switch underneath.

The device uses two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*), which are primarily required for the flash. Without this flash they are optional.

Extras such as a tripod connection, self-timer or multiple exposure function are not available. However, there is an eyelet for a wrist strap.

35mm films are suitable for the Revue FCJ. These films continue to be popular and can be processed in most labs.

The Kodak Ultramax 400* is ideal for color photography, while the Ilford Delta 400* is predestined for black and white photography. Other 35mm film suppliers include Foma, Lomography, Adox and Rollei.

Color film is mostly developed using the C-41 process. Black and white films can be developed both in specialized laboratories and privately, provided the necessary equipment is available. Instructions for this can be found online.

A typical roll of film holds about 36 photos. The photographer has to continue turning the film by hand, and rewinding is also done manually with the help of a button and a crank on the housing.

The inserted film can be seen through a window on the back. A counter on the top shows the number of photos taken.
