The Polaroid Taz is an instant camera. What makes it special is not the range of functions, which is almost identical to the Polaroid One Step (rounded corners), but the appearance.

The Polaroid Taz was introduced in the late 1990s and is modeled after Taz in shape. Taz, or The Tasmanian Devil, is a character from the Looney Tunes, the Warner Bros. cartoon series.

The Polaroid Taz has a built-in flash. A noticeable feature is the larger shutter release button on the side of the camera. The focus of the lens is fixed and a close-up lens is missing.

Of course, you can take normal photos with it. The matching instant films are no longer manufactured by Polaroid.

A suitable alternative are the films from Polaroid Originals (The Impossible Project). For black and white and color shots, Impossible offers the Polaroid B&W Film for 600* and the Polaroid Color Film for 600*. The battery for the camera is in the cassette with the film and is automatically replaced when the film is changed.

At that time, there was a matching Polaroid 600 film with a "Looney Tunes" frame around the picture. This, like the other old Polaroid films, is of course no longer produced.

Taz?

Taz, the Tasmanian Devil, is a well-known character from the world of Looney Tunes. The cartoon character was first introduced by Robert McKimson in the 1954 short film Devil May Hare. Taz is a spirited, wild animal who usually whirls around in the form of a whirlwind, devouring anything that gets in his way. His striking appearance, with its huge mouth and bushy tail, is known worldwide and has become an important pop culture symbol. Over the years, Taz appeared in many more short films and became one of the most popular Looney Tunes characters.
