  • Type Instant camera
  • Type of Film Typ 600
  • Max Aperture -
  • Focus Fixed focus

The Polaroid Spirit 600 CL Krema is an instant camera. The range of functions offered by the model corresponds to the Polaroid One Step Flash Closeup. It was created in a joint initiative with Krema. Next to the flash, the Krema logo can be found on the camera body.

The Polaroid Spirit 600 CL Krema is extremely user-friendly. The vast majority of settings found on other types of cameras have been omitted here. The uncomplicated handling allows a low entry threshold and thus many possible fields of application. The camera is ideal for taking pictures when you have a wedding or a party on the agenda. It is also a reliable companion on vacation.

The most important settings are fixed on the camera. For example, the aperture and shutter speed cannot be changed by the user. The lens has a fixed focal length. It is not possible to exchange the lens. There is no zoom function. Instead of using the zoom switch, you have to get closer to the subject to take pictures.

A minimum distance of 60 cm from the subject should be maintained for sharp images. To take advantage of this, the close-up lens must be pushed in front of the optics. Otherwise, the close-up limit is 120 cm.

The instant camera has a built-in flash. When taking pictures, it automatically triggers. Since the camera needs a lot of light due to the small aperture, the flash comes to the rescue in many cases.

Films for the Polaroid Spirit 600 CL Krema

Of course, using the Polaroid camera also requires instant film. The photo pioneer Polaroid no longer produces the original film material. A new company has been distributing material for the film format again since 2010.

Both a color film and a black-and-white film for the camera are available. The Polaroid Color Film for 600* is the film for color photography. Black and white photography is possible with the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. How do the films perform in tests? Both instant films can convince in different situations.

Eight unexposed pictures can be found in one pack. Under no circumstances should the light-sensitive material come into contact with light. Do not store the unexposed film material in the sun or in a damp place.

The size, 10.8 x 8.8 cm, of an image has not changed in decades. The 600 cameras produce square images with a dimension of 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The rest is filled by a white frame. But there are also Polaroid films with colorful frames.

Not compatible are the films from the Japanese Fujifilm.

Batteries

What batteries do you need for the Polaroid Spirit 600 CL Krema? With this type of camera, you can find the power source in the plastic case. The disposable battery contains the necessary power for the camera technology with flash. So changing the film is also changing the power source. There is no need to purchase another battery for the camera.

The film cassette with the battery should not be disposed of in household waste. It is better to take the plastic cassette or battery to an appropriate local drop-off location.

Instructions for the Polaroid Spirit 600 CL Krema

How to use the instant camera? A brief guide to taking photos with the photo camera.

The first step is to insert the film. To do this, push the small slider on the side forward. This opens the film door. Then the cassette is inserted and the flap is closed again. Automatically, the protective cover of the film ejects.

Now it's time to take the picture. Look at the subject through the viewfinder and press the shutter button. The camera motor ejects the image. Now the photochemistry begins to develop the image. After the development process of the instant photo is completed after a few minutes, the photo can be closely examined.

Alternative models

If the camera cannot be found, alternatives are available to one. A first option is the Polaroid One Step Flash Closeup. It offers the same feature set and requires the same material of film.

Alternatives to the Polaroid cameras are also available. For example, you can go for the Instax Wide 300* and Instax Mini EVO*. Here, too, you can still easily purchase the film material.
