The Polaroid Now+ Gen 2 / Generation 2 is an advanced instant camera based on the popular Polaroid Now. It was introduced in 2023 and offers some improvements over its predecessor, including a modern USB-C port. The camera is part of the range of Polaroid's successor, formerly known as The Impossible Project.
Design
The Now+ Gen 2 has a classic Polaroid look, with rounded corners and a robust housing. It is available in different colors and fits well in the hand. The design is simple and functional, with a large shutter button and a clearly visible viewfinder. They are available in the colors: black, white and forest green.
Functions
The Now+ Gen 2 offers a variety of functions that go beyond pure instant photography. This includes a dual-lens autofocus system that ensures sharper images. The integrated flash provides sufficient light in poor conditions. The camera has various shooting modes, including double exposure and manual mode, which open up creative possibilities.

Films
Of course you also need film for the instant camera. These films are also manufactured by Polaroid.
The classic Polaroid format (79 mm x 79 mm) with the iconic frame is exposed. i-Type and Type 600 films can be used. For the i-Type format there is the Polaroid Color Film for i-Type* color film.
The Type 600 films are intended for the old Polaroid cameras. In addition to the eight images, the film cassette also contains a battery. This supplies the old cameras with power, but is not necessary for the modern models.
App functionality
A highlight of the Now+ Gen 2 is the connection to the Polaroid app via Bluetooth. The app significantly expands the camera's functions and offers additional shooting modes such as light painting, noise trigger and self-timer. Images can also be edited and shared. The app is intuitive to use and opens up new creative possibilities.
