The Polaroid Legoland is an instant camera. The shape of the body and most of the functions are congruent with Polaroid One Step (rounded corners).

The difference is the look of this Special Edition. The plastic housing is quite colorful, red, green, yellow and blue. When you unfold the camera, the "Legoland" logo and a small printed Lego figure are revealed. Below the Lego figure are the words "Action Photo".

The Polaroid Legoland has a built-in flash and a light/dark control. A close-up lens can be slid in front of the fixed focus lens to shorten the closest focus distance a bit.

Films for the Polaroid Legoland

Films for the Polaroid Legoland are no longer available from Polaroid, but there are alternatives from The Impossible Project. These are now also sold again under the original brand name. For black and white and colour pictures, Impossible currently has the Polaroid B&W Film for 600* and the Polaroid Color Film for 600* on offer.

One pack of film contains eight pictures. Under no circumstances should the light-sensitive material come into contact with light. If it is to be stored for a long time, it should be kept in a dry place. In addition, it should not be stored too warm. Each of the eight pictures measures 10.8 x 8.8 cm. The 600 cameras produce square pictures measuring 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The rest of the Polaroid image is filled in by a white area.

Polaroid also sells editions of the films with colourful frames. Can you use the Japanese manufacturer's Instax films? No, the films do not fit the Polaroid instant camera.

The Legoland

Legoland is a theme park based on the Danish toy manufacturer LEGO. The first Legoland park opened in 1968 in Billund, Denmark, where LEGO's headquarters are located. Originally, the park was designed as a promotion for LEGO to boost sales of the toys. However, the success of the park was such that it became an important part of the company and several more Legoland parks were opened in other parts of the world in the following decades.
