Camera design

The camera is brightly coloured and printed with a graphic pattern reminiscent of Weselmann's art.

The front of the camera is bright pink with a white "Polaroid" logo. The lens is surrounded by a yellow ring and the flash is a bright blue colour. The back of the camera is a bright blue colour with a black "Evan Weselmann" logo.

The camera is equipped with a black carrying strap and has a fold-out viewfinder. There are two buttons on the top of the camera: the shutter release button and the button for ejecting the film.

Camera functionalities

The camera is equipped with a fixed lens and does not have a zoom. The focal length cannot be changed and there is no manual focus setting. The exposure settings are automatically taken over by the integrated light meter. Some adjustment is possible using the light/dark slider on the front.

The limited setting options make operation easier, so that even inexperienced users can take photos without any problems after a short briefing.

The built-in flash, which triggers automatically, provides sufficient light for the shots. The power for the camera and flash comes from a battery in the film cassette. The battery is replaced each time the film is changed. Additional batteries are not required for photography.

Film selection for the Polaroid 600 Evan Weselmann "Break out"
