The Miranda MS-1 is a 35mm camera. It was built by Cosina and offered in the 80s. Cosina gave it as "Cosina CT-1G". The Miranda MS-1 Super comes with a built-in self-timer and an exposure time of 1/2000 sec.
The lenses of the Miranda MS-1 can be changed. For this purpose, a Pentax K bayonet was installed in the camera. The Miranda MS-1 does not have an autofocus function. The focus is set manually.
The Miranda MS-1 has a built-in light meter. It is designed for films with a speed of ISO 25 to ISO 1600. The exposure is measured by the lens of the 35 mm camera (TTL). The aperture and exposure time can be selected by the photographer as desired.
The 35 mm camera has a bulb mode. In this mode, the shutter will open as long as the shutter release button is pressed. Hot shoe flashes can be used with the Miranda MS-1. There is also a PC flash socket.
Films for the Miranda MS-1
The Miranda MS-1 is a 35mm camera and needs 35mm film. The 35mm format is the most common film format. Therefore, some manufacturers still produce for this format. A 35mm film for color pictures is the Kodak Ultramax 400*. A possible black and white film is the Kodak T-Max 400*
The Miranda MS-1 features is a thread for a mounting a normal tripod. There is also a connector for a cable release. The power supply is provided by two LR44 batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
The 35 mm camera is only available in used condition. The condition of the camera and whether it still works is today the main factor on the value of a used copy of the camera.
